About Us

History

Central Valley Federal Credit Union was originally chartered on December 29, 1937 as New Kensington AC of A Engineering Division Federal Credit Union. The name was changed to Central Valley Federal Credit Union in 1994 after a series of mergers with other local credit unions.

Today, the credit union has over 600 members and assets of $2.0 million. It is overseen by a Board of Directors elected by our members. We thank them for their dedication and their contribution in making our credit union a sound financial institution. We owe the current board members and, of course, all of those that have served in the past, a sincere "thank you" for the effort put forth in making the credit union an organization that all members can take pride in.

The staff and board members encourge you to take an active part in the credit union by attending meetings and voicing your opinion. If your schedule does not permit you to attend meetings, then feel free to send us a letter. We assure you, consideration will be given to all suggestions and as a member and "owner" you have the right to participate.
